  1. It's not fun seeing Rory like this and how she treats others so badly, but I can accept her behaviour as that of a teenager. My problem is that we haven't seen any sign of her still being upset about Dean or acting up in the last two episodes. Even if the 1,2,3-game at the beginning contributed to this change in her mood, it feels strange now.

The breakfast scene at the grandparents is great and it's fun to see Emily be so excited that Rory came to them. Of course she can't keep herself from gloating a little.

I like Lorelai's talk with Rory about saying I love you, that was a good moment. Not a fan of Lorelai loudly blowing up at Dean in the middle of the market where he's working though.
Having Lorelai there in the morning after waking up would be terrible. Overall I thought she crossed the line between entertaining and annoying a little too often in this episode.

Oh, and Max is back. I had honestly completely forgotten about him.

  2. This is an episode that I both love and hate. I really enjoy seeing how Emily responds to and interacts with Stars Hollow and the townies. The scene between Emily and Mrs. Kim is fantastic, as well as the scene with Emily and Michele.

When Rory shows Emily the shed that they lived in I just about cried. Kelly (NOT Elizabeth!!) Bishop does a great job as an actress at selling how she felt. We know because it's brought up several times that Lorelai leaving at 16 was a huge disappointment to Richard and Emily, but showing what Lorelai was willing to give up and live like just to get away from her parents is so powerful. I hate seeing the hurt on Emily's face, but wow what a convincing sell!!
