  1. Lauren Graham is so good at crying. She's great in general in this episode. She breaks my heart. Rory is great too in how she takes care of Lorelai. Though the way she talks about Frank as if he's a thing she borrowed from Logan is not so cool. But Lane is, and so considerate, buying a new toothbrush for Lorelai.

Luke and Lorelai breaking up is super sad, but it also makes sense for the characters and from what we've seen lately. I don't think there's only one of them we can blame for this. Lorelai should have been more honest with Luke about Chris. And I loved that they brought back the scene where Luke said he's all in and Lorelai urges herself to say something because she didn't. And maybe she really wasn't all in until just now when she's afraid of loosing Luke. And Luke should not be this insecure and easily manipulated by Emily but there only is so much someone can take before it gets to them and maybe in some way he never felt like he was enough for Lorelai, even before the Gilmore interfered. And maybe he's self sabotaging by giving up so easily. Better now than later when it will hurt even more?
I also love Lorelai's phone call and how she immediately realizes it was a mistake and tries to fix it, only to find that Luke had already come over because that's what he does. Everything about this felt perfect and perfectly in character.
So yeah, I loved this, it's all very sad, but I hope they can get together again and better and stronger than before.
