  1. I feel like you usually take a break from the podcast before episodes that I'm really excited to watch and discuss. Not this time. This is one of my, of not the least favourite episode.

Most of this episode feels like we stepped into a part of the Twilight Zone where everyone looks the same but isn't quite themselves.

I know it's supposed to be a cute scene, like: Look, even the house is quirky and Rory knows all of this because she's been here before. But the Huntzbergers would never have a house with this many kinks. Can you imagine Shira and Mitchum staying there? No. And even if this is a house just for the "kids", it certainly wouldn't be this. And it would have been nice if we had heard before about Rory and Logan going here, even just in a throwaway line here or there. When exactly did these trips even happen? Am I forgetting about a longer stretch of time where they were happily together and Rory wasn't living at her grandparents?

Rory helping in the kitchen when she's on vacation is a thing I could get behind. But who is this Rory who says things like, we like going to the gym when we're here? She doesn't usually have Lorelai with her to do anything but working out there, so I assume she normally is. Which I just cannot imagine.

And worst and most annoying of all: Why, oh why is Luke so grumpy? Does he give Logan the money for the present he gives him? I can't imagine Luke not insisting on doing that but it never comes up. Lorelai is a saint and treats Luke like a child for most of the episode. I like that she finally tells Luke what's going on and it's a cute scene but as we see in the end, it doesn't really change much about the situation. Except for her terrible gay head monologue, she is the only character I really enjoy here. I guess Logan is acting pretty well too. I think the Mitchum stuff at the end could also work really well, if I wasn't thinking: Finally a character who's acting in a way I'm not questioning.

    1. I agree wholeheartedly with this. Idon't have time to write feedback but if I did this is exactly what I would say. Everyone except Mitchum and Logan are totally weird in this episode.

Also why doesn't Logan know Luke's name? Does he know nothing about Rory's life? Luke has been a major part of her entire life and yet Logan doesn't know his name!! Either he and Rory don't talk at all or this is some sort of weird power move?
