  1. I hate how Lorelai and Rory leave the church in the middle of the service. It's so rude. Come on, Lorelai, this can wait 20 more minutes. I also don't like Sookie's non-reaction to it. I don't want her to get angry necessarily, but a little more than laughing and saying they need the kids back would have been appropriate.

I really like the scene between Lane and Rory and how awkward they are at first. It feels very real. They haven't seen each other in a while and they've grown apart a bit, especially with Rory now not having spent her summer in Stars Hollow and instead living this very different, seperate life. But once they get over that initial awkwardness, they find their rhythm again and I hope we really do get to see more of them interacting again.

I think it's interesting that we see Lorelai thinking about taking the first step towards Rory and wants to reach out to her. Because of a (maybe, probably?) bad movie which is very Gilmore girls of her. But when that doesn't work because Rory didn't give her her new number, she completely closes up again. This conflict could be over much sooner if they weren't so stubborn, especially Lorelai. And once again, it's no wonder Lorelai's relationship with her parents was so terrible if she reacts like this to even the slightest slight, and we know her parents can be worse than that. I can see why Rory didn't give her the number, Lorelai made it clear that she didn't want anything to do with her, but I can also understand why Lorelai is so hurt by it and maybe even scared that, if there really was an emergency, she couldn't even reach her daughter. Her line that she can just call Emily and leave a message is really sad.

I know nobody here wants to talk about money on this show, but when Logan suggested the spontanous trip at the end, I started to think about Rory's finances and how she's paying for that. Is Logan paying for that trip? I assume she's not paying rent or for food or anything at the Gilmores and she does earn something at the DAR. Do they pay really well?
